After graduating, he worked at a small animal practice in Johannesburg, before moving to Durban, & working there for 3 years. In 1995 he decided to move to the UK, & after working as a long term locum for 2 practices in Middlesex, & Berkshire, he purchased the Anwell Veterinary Centre in December 1998. Greg enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, but has a particular interest in surgery. He is married to Melody, & has 2 children, David & Caitlyn. He enjoys most sports, but due to lack of leisure time, & advancing years is now very much an armchair enthusiast.
Anna qualified in 2018 with a degree from Bristol University. After taking some time out travelling across Australia and Asia, Anna joined us as a permanent vet in 2020. Since working at Anwells, Anna has developed her skills and interests and is now passionate about dentistry and surgery. She loves all animals but has a particular fondness for Sphinx cats.

Melody qualified as a veterinary nurse from Berkshire College of Agriculture in 1996. She was given the position as head nurse at a practice in Ashford, Middlesex shortly afterwards, where she worked until 1999. In December of that year Greg and Melody moved to Coulsdon, where they brought Anwell Veterinary Centre and she spent many happy years helping to develop the nursing aspect of the practice. Her son David was born in 2001 and daughter Caitlyn in 2003. When not at work she can be found cheering on the sidelines while watching David play rugby and enjoying 'all things girly' with Caitlyn. Her numerous pets at home take up whatever free time is left over!

Charlie registered as a nurse in 2012 and first came to Anwells as a locum in 2020. Once another opportunity to locum here arose, Charlie returned and has never looked back! She has been a permanent member of staff here since. She has a lovely Labrador, Luna (affectionately named Nuggy) at home and is Kenward’s favourite human (as she shares all her food with him).

May has been working at Anwells for 5 years now. She started as our Saturday member of staff, assisting vets and nurses with their duties. May has previously studied Animal Management and has a degree in Animal Management and Conservation so we are delighted that she has just started her training as a veterinary nurse with us. At home, she has a very cheeky cat named Skittles and enjoys baking treats for us all.
Miah has been a receptionist at Anwells since 2019. Miah has two beautiful children and one fur child; her French Bulldog named Albert.
Nicola is one of our lovely part time receptionists. She has been working with us since October 2021 and is often found sneaking treats to patients under the reception desk! She has a feisty little Parson Russell Terrier named Bertie and is an avid baker – much to our delight.
Debbie joined the team as a part time receptionist in 2023, having been a loyal client of the practice for 10 years. She previously owned and ran a successful café. Kenward, otherwise known as Kenny, became our practice cat in 2021. Found as a stray living in a skip with a severe eye infection, Kenny was rescued by the amazing cat charity we work with; The New Moon Cat Rescue. He stayed in our hospital for around 3 weeks whilst getting treatment for his eyes. During this time we realised he was a very special cat and enjoyed mooching about the practice, overseeing procedures and checking in on patients. We all fell in love with his inquisitive, relaxed nature and the decision was made for him to live with us permanently. Kenny can be often seen in the garden or walking around the practice like he owns the place (which he pretty much now does!). He spends most of his days either in the office making sure the practice manager is working hard (sleeping!) or walking around the kennel room checking in on patients to make sure they are comfortable (sticking his arms in kennels and stealing food!).
